Techgirlz and Cambium Networks: Learning Tools for Tomorrow’s Tech Innovators

By Cambium Networks   November 9, 2018

Cambium Networks teams up with Techgirlz to teach middle school girls about Wi-Fi technology and introductory networking skills. Employee volunteers brought their expertise and equipment to facilitate one of the nonprofit’s popular open source Techshopz in a Box™ workshops; walking their students through the steps of setting up a Cambium Networks AP and creating a network with their own splash page.

Techgirlz is a 501(c)3 recently awarded the “2018 Top Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits for their work in education specifically designed to prepare girls to enter careers in technology as innovators and leaders. With a growing curriculum of hands on learning programs that have reached over 14,000 girls since its inception in 2010, Techgirlz is driving industry diversity, innovation, and income equality across the gender gap.

Cambium Networks is passionate about building community and the promoting access – both literally through broadband connectivity and generally with the opportunities Internet technology supports. We’re proud to offer the technologists of the future the tools they need to succeed, and excited to watch their skills and creativity unfold.
