Cookie Policy

At Cambium Networks, Ltd. and our affiliates, parent, and subsidiaries (collectively “Cambium Networks”) we believe in being transparent about how we collect and use data.  Like many other website owners, we use automated data collection tools such as Cookies to collect certain information when you visit our websites (“Sites”), and in this Cookie Policy we explain how and when we use Cookies on our Sites. When you visit our Sites, we or third parties, in particular Google Analytics and Google Retargeting, may place a number of Cookies or similar technologies (such as pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, JavaScript, and local storage) on your browser.  We refer to these Cookies and similar technologies simply as “Cookies” throughout this Policy.  Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser deletes them or until they expire.  We use both session-based and persistent cookies.

In some cases, we may use Cookies to collect information that is defined as Personal Data, or that can become Personal Data if we combine it with other information. In such cases, the Cambium Networks Data Privacy Policy  will apply in addition to this Cambium Networks Cookie Policy.

What are Cookies?

Cookies.  A cookie is a small piece of computer code that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser, which enables our web servers to identify users and collect certain usage Sites information from users. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate our Sites and services, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process or to allow us to track your activities at our Sites and Services. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can disable cookie files, or avoid cookies by configuring your browser to reject them or to notify you when a cookie is being placed on your hard drive.  Visitors to our Sites who disable cookies will be able to browse certain areas of the Sites, but some features may not function.

Clear GIFs, pixel tags and other technologies.  Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We may use clear GIFs (also known as web beacons, web bugs or pixel tags), in connection with our Sites to, among other things, track the activities of Sites visitors, help us manage content and compile statistics about Sites usage. We or our service providers may also use clear GIFs in HTML emails to our customers to help us track email response rates, identify when our emails are viewed and track whether our emails are forwarded.  We may also collect usage information via java script, log files and other sources.

Widgets. Our Sites may include widgets.  Widgets are mini-programs that provide specific services from another company (e.g. news, opinions, music, etc.) on our Sites. Widgets may collect information and Cookies may also be set by the widget. Information collected by widgets is governed by the privacy policy of the company that created it.

Third-party AnalyticsWe use third party analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to collect, monitor and analyze this information in order to improve functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor the Sites and Services to our visitors’ needs. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website, including your IP address, will be used by Google for the purpose of evaluating your use of our Sites, compiling reports on our Sites’ activity for us and providing other services relating to internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.  By adjusting your browser settings you can prevent storage of such cookies.  You may also prevent the recording of data generated by the cookie by Google and to the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin and selecting your country. The Google website contains further information about Analytics and a copy of Google’s privacy policy pages.

You can find out more about each Cookie we use by viewing our current cookie list below. We update this list periodically, so there may be additional cookies that are not yet listed.

How are cookies used for advertising purposes?

Cookies help us market more effectively to users that we and our partners believe may be interested in Cambium Networks. They also help provide us with aggregated auditing, research, and reporting, and know when content has been shown to you.

How long do Cookies stay on devices?

Some Cookies will stay on your device between browsing sessions. They do not expire when you close your browser. These Cookies are called “persistent” cookies. The length of time a persistent cookie stays on your device varies from cookie to cookie. We and others use persistent Cookies for a variety of purposes, such as to store your preferences so that they are available for the next visit, and to keep a more accurate account of how often you visit our Sites, how often you return, how your use of the Sites may vary over time, and the effectiveness of advertising efforts.

Other Cookies operate from the time you visit a Cambium Networks service to the end of that particular web-browsing session. These Cookies expire and are automatically deleted when you close your internet browser. These Cookies are called “session” cookies.

Who puts the Cookies on devices?

Cookies may be placed on your device by Cambium Networks as the Site operator. These cookies are called “first party” cookies. Some Cookies may be placed on your device by a party other than Cambium Networks, in particular Google Analytics. These cookies are called “third party” cookies. For example, a Cambium Networks partner may place a third-party cookie to enable online chat services.

Cookies may also be used that allow us and third parties to know when you visit our Sites, and to understand how you interact with emails or other content. Through Cookies, information (such as your operating system, browser version, and the URL you came from, including from emails and advertisements) may be obtained and used to enhance your experience and understand traffic patterns. This technology counts the number of users who visit a particular service from specific banner advertisements outside the Cambium Networks Site or who clicked on links or graphics included in email newsletters received from Cambium Networks. It is also used as a tool to compile aggregated statistics about how Cambium Networks Sites are used, to perform and analytics and help us to optimize our Sites, and to help serve you advertising based on your interests, as described in further detail below.

How do I Manage Cookies?

If you would like to restrict the use of cookies you can control this in your Internet browser. Links to advice on how to do this for the most popular Internet browsers are provided below for convenience and will be available for the Internet browser of your choice either online or via the software help (normally available via key F1).

In order to provide website visitors with more choice on how data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on communicates with the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) to stop data being sent to Google Analytics. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on does not affect usage of the website in any other way. A link to further information on the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on is provided below for your convenience. http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=None
