Former RR Donnelley Training Leader Joins Wireless Networking Solutions Provider to Spearhead Its Training and Development Program for Employees, Partners and Customers

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL—January 11, 2018Cambium Networks, a leading global provider of wireless networking solutions, today announced the appointment of Jodie Boeldt as Director of Training and Development. Boeldt joins the company as it strengthens its commitment to provide training to its employees, customers and partners around the world wherever and whenever they want it.

“Cambium Networks is taking learning to a new level via technology,” said Boeldt. “We’ve established a blended approach that leverages self-directed online learning, in addition to classroom instruction, as the optimal approach to effectively engaging our global customer and partner community. This allows people to learn Cambium Networks’ solutions at their own pace and in their own location. Access to knowledge will no longer be limited by location or ability to travel, which underscores the company’s commitment to connect the unconnected around the world.”

Given Cambium’s extensive portfolio of reliable, scalable and secure Wi-Fi, fixed wireless broadband point-to-point (PTP), and point-to-multipoint (PMP) platforms – all managed by cloud-based software – there is an ever-growing need for accessible and comprehensive training programs. One of the company’s key training initiatives is online learning, accessible to Cambium employees, partners and customers via the Cambium Networks Learning Management System. This resource features courses across Cambium’s solution set, with new courses made available online as they are developed.

In an effort to build STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) knowledge in wireless networking with youth and adults around the world, Cambium Networks leveraged those same on-line training tools to conduct a free 15-session series on the fundamentals of wireless networking. 46 students from five continents participated in the inaugural course and successfully passed the final exam.

“Jodie Boeldt has the expertise we need to take our training and development function to a world-class level,” said Scott Imhoff, Senior Vice President Product Management of Cambium Networks. “One of her priorities will be to establish online learning opportunities that enable our end users to become proficient in installing, configuring and optimizing their Cambium solutions. In addition, she’ll help us create a consistent and quality learning experience – whether it is learning in a formal classroom, at a live virtual event or via a self-paced web module.”

Boeldt comes most recently from RR Donnelley, the Fortune 500 integrated communications company, where she was Director of Learning and Development. While there she supervised a cross-disciplinary training team and managed learning management systems and developmental tools. Prior to that she was Global Training Director at Aspect Software, a call center technology and customer experience company. At Aspect she transformed the learning model from a traditional approach to one focused on performance. Additionally, she restructured the company’s global curriculum procedures to implement certification testing that defined job roles.

“Our vision for Jodie is to take what is already an excellent training and development program and simultaneously scale and improve it,” said Atul Bhatnagar, president and CEO of Cambium Networks. “We can’t wait for her to get started on turning this vision into reality.”
