Cambium Networks Helps Reach North America’s Rural Communities

By Ray Savich   January 5, 2018

A North American mobile operator selects Cambium Networks to deliver rural broadband access via a converged fixed wireless network carrying streaming video, voice and data to residential users in remote locations – expanding the communications technology available to existing mobile customers.

With Cambium, obstacles such as scalability, capacity, limitations on spectrum can be overcome, enabling simple deployment and management. The speed with which customers can be connected with the new installment is also a key factor. The initial deployment of this project consists of over 200 PMP 450i access points with supporting subscriber modules.

“Our ability to design and deliver a scalable, manageable network with best in class spectral efficiency was the difference with this customer. The network will deliver rural broadband access to customers who are underserved, or in some cases unserved. The testing and vetting done by the customer was thorough and re-enforces our belief that we have the ideal solutions to deliver fixed broadband services to both residential and business customers.” – Derek Underwood, North American VP of Sales, Cambium Networks
