Cambium Networks successfully hosted the annual Global Entrepreneur Summit at the International Convention Centre in Hyderabad, providing Wi-Fi to over 5,000 attendees of one of India’s highest profile conferences. GES’ 2017 theme Women First, Prosperity for All is dedicated to the empowerment of female business and its vital role in global prosperity, and drew massive participation for its workshops, mentoring sessions, and presentations by entrepreneurs and investors headlined by White House Advisor Ivanka Trump.
The high density deployment Cambium customized for the HICC consisted of 100 cnPilot™ Indoor and Outdoor access points and supported the traffic of up to 1200-1500 simultaneous connections in a challenging space to deliver Wi-Fi coverage. The Grand Auditorium’s massive space with 45’ high ceilings, and interference both between the required numbers of APs and caused by the thousands of Bluetooth devices given as swag to attendees, was successfully connected by 100 cnPilot™ Indoor and Outdoor access points.
With the network’s performance monitored directly by the Government of India, Cambium’s AP’s handled user load and data traffic perfectly, with APs in a few locations supporting 70-100 clients each without any issue. The Cambium technicians whose proficiency and teamwork made it all possible cite cnMaestro™ as a key factor in the deployment’s success – facilitating RF design, channel planning, and total network configuration.
