AI Changed How Apps Are Built. MarketApps Hub Changes How They Are Delivered.

By Bruce Miller

Artificial intelligence has fundamentally changed software development.

Tasks that once required teams of developers and months of coding can now be accomplished in days, and in some cases, hours. AI coding agents are enabling network engineers, solution architects, managed service providers, and other domain experts to quickly create applications that solve highly specific operational challenges.

That shift creates an important question: once an app is built, how do you securely host it, manage it, distribute it, and make it available to the people who need it?

That is why we created cnMaestro™ MarketApps Hub.

Extending the Cambium ONE Network

Cambium has always believed that networks should adapt to the way organizations operate, not force organizations to adapt to the limitations of management software.

Every customer has unique workflows, unique operational priorities, and unique business processes. No single application interface can anticipate every requirement across the diverse range of education, hospitality, service provider, manufacturing, healthcare, industrial, or other environments.

MarketApps Hub extends the Cambium ONE Network into an application platform, allowing purpose-built web applications to enhance cnMaestro with focused experiences for specific users and workflows.

Instead of waiting for broad cnMaestro platform releases, organizations can quickly create applications that solve their own operational challenges while remaining connected to the intelligence and data within the Cambium ONE Network.

From One Interface to Thousands of Possibilities

MarketApps Hub introduces a new application delivery model that optimizes the use of the Cambium network. Organizations can build simple applications that accomplish one task exceptionally well.

  • A technician can use an installation app to onboard equipment.
  • A site manager can manage Wi-Fi onboarding for guests without needing full administrative access.
  • A network administrator can run focused analysis tools to validate configurations or troubleshoot specific issues.

These targeted experiences make complex operations simpler while allowing different users to interact with the network in ways that match their responsibilities.

An Open Marketplace for Innovation

MarketApps Hub creates an open marketplace where applications can be developed by Cambium, our partners, our customers, and the community. Customers can also build private applications that remain available only within their own organization.

To provide clarity and confidence, every application is classified according to its origin and level of support. Customers always know who developed an application, how it is supported, and what level of validation it has received.

This approach combines openness with governance, allowing innovation to flourish without sacrificing trust.

Built for the AI Era

AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to building software.

The challenge is no longer writing code. The challenge is providing the infrastructure that allows those applications to be securely deployed, discovered, managed, and maintained.

MarketApps Hub was designed with that reality in mind.

Developers can leverage AI coding agents alongside a purpose-built SDK, public APIs, integrated hosting, single sign-on, and a governed application catalog to move from idea to working application in a fraction of the time previously required.

Instead of spending effort on deployment infrastructure, developers can focus on solving customer problems.

Delivering Outcomes, Not Just Features

For network operators, this means capabilities tailored to their own environments without waiting for future platform releases.

For managed service providers, it creates opportunities to develop differentiated services that deliver measurable business outcomes.

For site managers and operational staff, it provides simple, task-focused applications that eliminate unnecessary complexity.

For organizations with internal development teams, it transforms the network into a programmable platform where private applications can securely leverage live network data.

The Beginning of a Larger Ecosystem

Cambium introduced the MarketApps framework in 2024 to simplify the delivery of purpose-built applications. The MarketApps Hub represents the next step in that journey by opening up that platform to the broader development community where applications can be discovered, shared, and continuously expanded.

The initial release of MarketApps Hub adds ten new Labs apps supporting functions such as Intent-based network configuration, Wi-Fi spectrum analysis, configuration auditing, cnWave 60Ghz health checks, troubleshooting, and more. These new apps add to the existing MarketApps Certified apps previously released. Moving forward, new Cambium, partner, community, and private applications will continue to expand the marketplace over time.

Our vision is straightforward:

Every organization operates differently.

Every network has unique requirements.

Now every network can have applications designed specifically for the people who use it.

We believe AI will continue transforming how software is created. MarketApps Hub ensures those innovations can be securely delivered, managed, and shared across the Cambium ONE Network.

The result is a network platform that becomes more valuable over time because it continuously evolves with the needs of its users.
