Cambium Joins WCAI’s Spectrum

By    July 16, 2013

In a flurry of activity over the past two weeks, Cambium Networks has travelled across the U.S. and made multiple product-related announcements at industry conferences. During AFCEA West in San Diego we announced that our PTP 600 Series is now certified for use by the DoD’s Defense Information System’s Agency and is on the UC APL. We also introduced the new RDB 350 solution for rapid deployment broadband which garnered significant attention from the DoD market. Then we travelled to Utah for the Animal Farm User Group event to check in with WISPs using Cambium solutions and gave a sneak preview of the Cambium PMP 450 Access Point, and finally, we made our way to Florida to speak about mobile broadband at 4GWE.

During 4GWE the Wireless Communications Association International (WCAI) announced the appointment of Tony Cecchin, our Vice President of Product and Business Operations, to its Board of Directors. We are very excited to have Cambium join this panel of well-regarded wireless broadband professionals. As a member of WCAI’s Board, Tony will be able to contribute directly to the association, sharing his insight on how to bring awareness to the industry and increase adoption of wireless broadband worldwide.

The WCAI is uniquely positioned in the industry. With one foot in the world of wireless broadband, directing industry momentum, and with another foot in Washington, advocating for legal and policy issues with the FCC, Cambium will be in a position to influence the decisions that will affect the growth of wireless broadband and the direction of our industry. We’re eager to begin contributing to the organization – what would you like to see Cambium help the WCAI achieve?
