Region Codes in the 5.4GHz band

Cambium Networks has removed the ability for customers/installers to download certain Licence Keys from this website.

This is a temporary change and affects products operating in the U-NII band at 5.4GHz (5470MHz to 5725MHz).

Reasons for the action:

• In many regions the 5.4GHz band is shared with Weather Sensing radars which provide data to ensure safe aircraft operations in the vicinity of the radar.
• In many regions regulators require that radio equipment operating in the 5.4GHz band detect radar signals and avoid interference to the radar systems.
• The FCC has received a number of reports of interference to these safety-critical radars and has pressed radio industry to take all actions it can to ensure that this interference is stopped as soon as possible.
• Cambium Networks is taking steps to improve the way in which License Keys that disable DFS may be accessed for regions which do not have a legal requirement to implement radar detection in this band.
• During this intervening period, Cambium Networks is temporarily barring access to certain License Keys whilst the improved process is rolled out
