LAS VEGAS, IWCE 2012 Booth #4132, February 17, 2012 – Cambium Networks, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions for reliable connectivity in any environment, today announced that its director of business development, Scott Imhoff, will speak at next week’s 2012 International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas. Joining the panel “Broadband Spectrum Options for Critical Infrastructure Industries” on Feb. 23, Imhoff will share his expertise on how network operators can optimize the available spectrum for data, VoIP and video applications.

The IWCE conference and exhibition offers government agencies, public safety professionals, enterprise users, wireless service providers, IT professionals and dealers the ability to learn about all aspects of convergent communications.

In his role at Cambium Networks, Imhoff assists critical infrastructure service providers in the global industrial communications, public safety and defense markets with their selection of fixed wireless broadband solutions to meet their mission critical communications requirements. Drawing from his experience with Cambium, and previously with Motorola Solutions with microwave market development initiatives, Imhoff will join panelists in discussing the FCC’s departure from longstanding spectrum policies and the effects on CII wireless broadband spectrum requirements.

Description: The FCC has departed from longstanding spectrum policies, choosing not to allocate spectrum for CII wireless broadband requirements. During this session, panelists will discuss the carrier-provided solutions suitable spectrum for CII broadband listed on the FCC's Spectrum Dashboard. The panelists will also discuss the options for CII entities to secure previously auctioned spectrum and the market valuation challenges.
