To pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on this week’s anniversary of his birth, Cambium Networks has connected his birthplace Kirti Mandir in Porbandar, India, to the internet. This complex includes Gandhi’s ancestral house where he was born and which now is a key national memorial. This monument is “protected” by the government of India and includes his home, library, a museum of Gandhi’s life, and a prayer room. Opened to the public in 1950, the site is the most popular destination in Porbandar.

For the first time, all visiting guests are able to access the internet via complimentary Wi-Fi. cnPilot™ Wi-Fi high-capacity solutions provide indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi to connect families, increase business, and support education.

Gandhi said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Cambium Networks and our partners are glad to work with the local agency to continue to bring Mahatma Gandhi’s message to the world.
