SCHAUMBURG, ILL., April 11, 2012 Cambium Networks™, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions for reliable connectivity in any environment, today announced the appointment of Jay Hilbert as the company’s senior vice president of global sales. In this role, Hilbert will oversee Cambium’s worldwide sales activity, provide guidance on the company’s product roadmaps and develop strategic market opportunities to further expand Cambium’s participation in the global wireless market.

With over 20 years of experience in leading global marketing and sales organizations, serving telecoms, service providers, solution providers and network equipment manufacturers, Hilbert brings to Cambium proven expertise in driving global growth. Most recently, Hilbert was the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Telmar Network Technology, a global provider of telecom asset management services, where he transformed the sales operations of the organization and significantly grew the organization’s wireless business. Prior to his work at Telmar, Hilbert was senior vice president global sales for Spirent Communications where he grew both sales and profits.

Hilbert has also held senior global sales positions with a number of global communications companies, including Alcatel-Lucent, where he was Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing and was responsible for Alcatel’s launch of ADSL in North America and led the Airspan business unit. He has also held senior positions at ADC and DSC Communications. Hilbert is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a BS in Engineering Management and completed Executive Sales Management Training at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
